What: An encore performance of the show that created a splash during the 2011 Chicago Blues Festival. A bevy of blues-belting bombshells take center stage in this high energy blues revue featuring a rotating roster of Chicago’s top female blues performers. Each show is hosted by Joan Gand and Blue Road. A mini-festival in itself, it’s a showcase of the top female blues talent in the Chicagoland area! Each show features special guests and each show is different!

Chicago Blues Hall of Fame  In 2013, we were thrilled when Liz Mandeville was the first CWIB inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame. We are excited to report that HolleThee Maxwell was inducted, on June 8, 2014 at Buddy Guy’s Legends.

2016‘s award went to publicist and producer Lynn Orman Weiss. 2015’s award went to HolleThee Maxwell to celebrate her 65 years in the biz!  Previously, we honored Linda Cain, founder/editor of the Chicago Blues Guide., and Joyce “Cookie” Taylor Threatt, of the KoKo Taylor Celebrity Aid Foundation
